Add new products to Cliniko
Cliniko is a great piece of software for therapists and when integrated with Xero, it can be powerful in driving your business forward.
You do, however, need to do a little bit of maintenance after the first integration that will make life happy in the long run.
Adding Products in Cliniko is an essential part of running your practice, and can get a bit of a nightmare if you don't also mirror the new products in Xero properly.
If you are adding new products, this help file will show you how to seamlessly integrate Xero and Cliniko for improved mapping.
1. In Cliniko, navigate to "Products" and select"Add Product"
2. Add the relevant data
Note: most products will have GST on them unless they are medical supplies
3. Link to relevant Xero Account in Cliniko Setup / Create Product (this should be a drop down list for you)
4. In Xero navigate to "Accounts" and select "Inventory"
5. Make sure you enter data identical to the Cliniko setup and then press "Save"
Now you’re OK to sell the product in Cliniko - knowing that your Xero file will also work seamlessly!
