Link Xero to ATO portal

Xero allows you to automagically file your Single Touch Payroll reports to the Australian Taxation Office. However, you first need to connect both softwares together.

To do so, please follow the these simple steps below:

1. Set up your myGovID on your mobile phone (if you have not done so already);
2. Link your MyGovID to the entity’s ABN using Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM)
3. Log into your Xero file, and navigate to Payroll / Single Touch Payroll. Click on the three little dots
4.  On a different Tab in your internet browser, login to Authorisation Manager for business and add the software SSID information from the data in your Xero file.
5. Back in Xero, finalise the STP setup.
